NEW YORK--There was Seventies steam as well as plenty of glamour as the resort collections opened this week. Nicole Miller was part Charlie's Angels, part Club Med--from sexy stretch numbers and naughty knit bikinis to a group of sheer jersey wrap dresses. Isabel Toledo may have her quirky side, but this season, many of her cultish clothes actually looked salable, including the mixed neon-bright silk shantung coats and lean pants and the floaty nylon dance dresses. Fernando Sanchez is no stranger to glamour, and he showed it with his sizzling evening gowns in bias-cut ivory silk and body-hugging guipure lace.
Peter Kim's Los Angeles-based premium denim line has always had its finger on the pulse of youth. This season, novelty is back in a way reminiscent of early Aughts, with studs, lace-ups, racing waxed denim and more. "I was driving back on Saturday afternoon from the beach, and I just saw this sign saying 'Skydiving for $95.' And I was like, I can't not sky dive for $95," says Tom Bateman about a moment in Hawaii while shooting "Snatched." #wwdeye (📷: @vsteves; Interview by @ktauer; Styled by @thealexbadia)
