To promote his new album, "Paris," music impresario Malcolm McLaren used photographer David Bailey to make the video of the first single, "Paris, Paris." Catherine Deneuve, who sings the song, was married to Bailey in the Sixties. Taking full advantage of the relationship, Bailey included footage from their wedding in the video. Don't be surprised to see a very young Mick Jagger, who was Bailey's best man.

Marie-Anne Oudejans really knows how to throw a sample sale. The designer of the popular Tocca line of gingham and eyelet dresses rigged up a tent on the roof of the Tribeca Studios building on Hudson Street in New York and hung the dresses for sale on a huge clothesline across the roof. She included a runway in case anybody felt like modeling while trying things on. Editors and shoppers were entertained with taped music and lemonade, making the whole thing look more like a party than a sale.
