FERRAGAMO APPOINTS ABDOO RETAIL DIRECTOR OF U.S. UNIT
NEW YORK--Lynda Abdoo has been appointed retail director for Salvatore Ferragamo, the U.S. division of the upscale Italian leather goods company. Abdoo was retail director, Europe, for Salvatore Ferragamo Firenze SpA from 1982 to 1991. Most recently, she has been in private life. Abdoo succeeds Susan Jones, who has left the company. Jones, who had been with the company for about a year, could not be reached for comment. Abdoo's duties will includeresponsibility for management and merchandising of Ferragamo stores in New York, Beverly Hills, San Diego, Vancouver and Palm Beach, as well as planning for U.S. retail expansion. She reports to Gerald Mazzalovo, chief executive officer of the division.
