NEW YORK--William J. Diamond, chief financial officer, executive vice president and a director of North American Watch Corp., died Tuesday in Long Island Jewish Hospital, New Hyde Park, N.Y., at age 39. A company spokeswoman said Diamond, who had been hospitalized briefly, died of unexpected complications. She had no further details on cause of death. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Carle Place, N.Y. Diamond joined North American Watch in 1988 as senior vice president and chief financial officer and became a director and executive vice president in 1990. Diamond is survived by his wife, Janet, a son, Michael, and a daughter, Kristen.
