ST. LOUIS--Kellwood Co. reported Friday that it completed the acquisition of Halmode Apparel Inc., a New York-based women's apparel manufacturer with annual sales of $150 million. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Halmode, which will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Kellwood, operates five dress divisions that offer branded and private label apparel in misses', plus, petite and junior sizes. The company also operates four other divisions focusing on sportswear, uniforms, maternity apparel and a catalog business.
Robert W. Adler will continue as chief executive officer of Halmode.
Halmode has operating facilities in Virginia as well as a Far East sourcing network.
