NEW YORK--Lanvin's first in-store boutique in the U.S. is opening today in Saks Fifth Avenue, which is reintroducing Lanvin's Arpege fragrance. A trunk show featuring the spring '95 collection shown in Paris this month, along with a breakfast for customers, is slated in the 350-square-foot Lanvin shop on the third floor of the flagship. Dominique Morlotti, Lanvin's designer, is scheduled to visit the boutique and work with customers. The shop is decorated in the rich blue shade that has been the signature of the house of Lanvin since the late 1800s. The collection is available at other Saks stores and I. Magnin, among other retailers. Arpege, developed in 1927 by couturier Jeanne Lanvin, has not been available in the U.S. in recent years. It will be distributed exclusively at Saks on the East Coast, in the boutique and on the main floor of the flagship and at branches.
