The new glamour has finally hit Hollywood--the place that inspired the trend to begin with. And at the premiere of "Little Women" in Culver City, Winona Ryder took the retro look literally, in a vintage black dress and velvet jacket. Her co-star, Samantha Mathis, who as recently as a month ago was showing up at premieres in torn jeans and shrunken T-shirts, embraced the new glamour with a sleek black velvet halter dress. Although Bridget Fonda stayed understated in a simple pantsuit, her boyfriend, Eric Stoltz, spruced up his act by cutting his beard and donning an elegant suit and tie. He wasn't the only man giving a nod to the season's natty look. Rocker and Ryder boyfriend Dave Pirner of Soul Asylum also suited up, and R.E.M. front man Michael Stipe camped it up in a fuzzy, faux fur coat. "I got it because it was cheap and warm," he said.
