NEW YORK--William B. Anneken has been named president and chief executive officer of Plaid Clothing Group and also continues as vice chairman. James J. Stankovic, who held the titles of president and ceo, continues as president of the Schoeneman/Palm Beach Companies, Plaid's current operating subsidiaries. Plaid--which, as noted, has been negotiating to acquire Italy's GFT--also reported that in the second quarter ended July 2, Plaid lost $318,000, against a profit of $775,000, or 94 cents a share, a year earlier. Sales declined 5.5 percent to $59.7 million from $63.2 million. The firm did not report first-half figures.
