NEW YORK--The WWD Weekly Stock Index was up 0.6 percent in the week ended Oct. 28, outperformed by the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which gained 2 percent. Among WWD's gainers, Nordstrom rose 3 to 48 1/4, spurred by an analyst's recommendation and projections for strong full-year earnings. Jones Apparel Group posted a 1 1/2 gain to 27 7/8, following solid third quarter results.
