As reported, Federated Department Stores will consolidate Macy's East, A&S and Jordan Marsh as part of its plan to merge with R.H. Macy & Co.
In an interview Friday, Brennan called his new job "a great opportunity to oversee a terrific cross-section of merchandise."
"I spent the past 8 1/2 years in men's wear and this will give me the exposure I need on the women's side of the business," he said.
According to sources, all senior merchandising executives could be identified as early as this week.
