French-German design duo Annelie Augustin and Odely Teboul continued to refine their crepuscular vision. Presenting their spring collection in an apartment, models in all-black ensembles stood or reclined languidly amidst decadent floral arrangements. A tulle Mohawk headpiece made peace with a warrior dress with a sleeveless leather bodice and split-level chiffon skirt. There were biker-chick pants in leather, encrusted with glittering jet beads, and a tough-but-tender military-meets-motorcycle jacket. The duo’s monochrome palette is anything but one-note, with crochet, openwork lace, and chiffon used to good effect. This is couture, Berlin-style.
