A Thirties ribbon shoe from the Bally archives (the house got its start as a ribbon company) was the main reference for spring. It was interpreted with intricate swirled leather and python details on shoes, bags, belts and oversize collar-bib necklaces. (Jewelry is a new category for Bally.)
The palette was comprised of black-and-whites, pastels and neutrals with a pop of neon; the latter looked especially striking on the Papillon bag. The season’s key shoe, the Primavera, was a leather wedge with curved python detailing that created the illusion of a heel.
The clothing drew from the same materials, with a python cage vest layered over a silk dress, and leather and python anoraks shown in white and bright orange.
Alberta Ferretti's "Rainbow Week" sweaters are back. The designer closed her #MFW show with a few day-of-the-week sweaters, which first debuted on the catwalk last January as part of the pre-fall 2017 collection. #wwdfashion (📷: @delphineachard)
