This town sizzled on Tuesday night when two lingerie shows went head-to-head over who would draw the biggest crowd. Each held the promise of a celeb-packed front row as well as sexy lingerie.
At Frederick’s of Hollywood’s free-for-all on Sunset Boulevard, Gina Gershon, backed by band Camp Freddy, belted out Sex Pistols and The Cult covers at a piercing decibel. But the steamy, Eighties-inspired bustiers, micro miniskirts and black bras were enough to distract the audience from the pain of throbbing ears. Amy Osbourne sat front row, as did the infamous Tommy Lee. It seems that neither the noise nor the models in black thongs could keep him from nodding off, though he admitted after the show, “The babes were awesome.” At least an hour’s-drive across town thanks to the bus strike, actress Jaime Pressly bowed her Jaime lingerie line before an audience that included Christian Slater, Adam Goldberg and Shane West. The looks itself — velour camis, lace minidresses and frothy tulle skirts — seemed a logical extension of her Maxim pinup persona.
