Beauty Beat: P&G Expand Arnold’s Duties … Quest’s Thoman Named Consumer Unit Head

French beauty giant L'Oreal reported Wednesday that sales for first-quarter 2006 rose 11.3 percent to 3.94 billion euros, or $4.72 billion at average exchange rates.

P&G Expands Arnold’s Duties
NEW YORK — Susan E. Arnold, vice chairman of Procter & Gam­ble Beauty, is taking on the additional responsibilities of the oral care, personal health and pharmaceutical businesses, a result of the retirement of R. Kerry Clark, vice chairman of P&G Family Health. Arnold’s new title, vice chairman of P&G Beauty & Health, reflects the change. Clark had been with the company for 32 years.

Quest’s Thoman Named Consumer Unit Head
NEW YORK — Fragrance supplier Quest International has appointed Demi Thoman president of consumer fragrance, Americas. Thoman, who has been president of fragrances for North America at Quest since 1992, will now oversee the company’s consumer fragrance business in both the Latin American and North American regions.
