NEW YORK — Tim Bess has been promoted to the newly created position of men’s fashion/trend analyst for The Doneger Group.

Bess, who will now be responsible for researching and analyzing the significant trends in the entire men’s business, will also be charged with intensifying the company’s coverage of the contemporary market.

Bess previously served as young men’s market analyst. He will be succeeded in that position by Brittany Robinson. She had worked closely with Bess and Doneger’s men’s team as an assistant market analyst with a particular focus on young men’s.

In his new position, Bess will provide comprehensive seasonal trend coverage and identify the market direction for the men’s area. He will continue to consult with clients on the contemporary market and will report to Allison Levy, merchandise manager of The Doneger Group’s men’s wear division.

“In the years that Tim has been with the company, his innate understanding of the young men’s and contemporary customer has proven to be an invaluable asset to our clients,” said Abbey Doneger, president, in a statement. “I am confident that as our men’s business continues to grow, Tim’s ability to identify new and emerging brands in this market, coupled with his ability to recognize key fashion trends, will help our retail clients make the best merchandising decisions to grow their businesses.”
