NEW YORK — Bergdorf Goodman kicked off the opening of a new Richard Tyler boutique last week with a two-day trunk show that brought in about $250,000 in sales.

“I think this will firmly establish us as the Richard Tyler collection headquarters in New York,” said Ellin Saltzman, Bergdorf’s senior vice president and fashion director.

Created by the residential interiors firm Gillette-Shadley, the 500-square-foot shop looks like an old English garden, with moss and plant displays, antique furniture and decorative iron outdoor fixtures at the entrance.

“They did a great job,” said Lisa Trafficante, Tyler’s wife and partner. “We wanted the feeling of a park and it’s beautiful.”
