Now in her second season, Berlin designer Bianca Fleisch staged an intimate presentation of her spring collection, named Nereide (or Sea Nymphs), at the Gerhardsen Gerner gallery. With views of the Spree River, it was a fitting setting for Fleisch’s minimal sylphs dressed in soft, linear silks. The opening peach and apricot dress epitomized the designer’s theme with its simple floating layers, the darker under dress nonchalantly peeking out of the longer top sheath, unfettered by anything but two fluttering patch pockets. There were other short-over-long paneled looks in sheer black stripes over white, or semitailored, as in the red satin sleeveless coat worn over a two-layered apricot dress.
