KCP is celebrating its anniversary in style — with a chic line of apparel and accessories.
Kenneth Cole Productions is marking its 20th anniversary exactly how one might expect from a fashion company — with a special collection of apparel and accessories.
The firm has collaborated with some of its licensees to create the 20th anniversary collection, which includes a broad range of products, such as sleek Mod-style boots and leather pumps, clutch bags and geometric watches, as well as bomber leather jackets, blazers and wool pants. Prices for the items range from about $30 for gloves and scarves, up to around $500 for some of the leather outerwear.
“The 20th anniversary collection includes product that is a little more traditional and refined,” said designer Kenneth Cole. “It’s a reflection of the Kenneth Cole heritage with timeless black, white and gray clothing and accessories that transcend the seasons.”
The anniversary collection will be carried at such stores as Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s and Marshall Field’s, as well as all of Kenneth Cole’s freestanding stores.
In conjunction with the fashion offerings are special advertisements carrying the tag line: “20 Years Later and Still Sole Searching.” In addition, a wide variety of anniversary events are planned for stores throughout the country and, in usual Kenneth Cole fashion, some of the 20th anniversary events are tied in with charitable causes. For example, proceeds from T-shirts at an event at Macy’s East will be donated to Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS. Other events this fall include book readings and lounge parties held in conjunction with magazines such as GQ, Vanity Fair and Esquire.

For the holidays, @Burberry partnered with 20-year-old artist @blondeymccoy on a series of three outdoor murals in downtown Manhattan. The murals are McCoy’s interpretation of a Christmas eve party, the idea of charity and the spirit of family. His third mural, pictured here, is the most personal. The image depicts McCoy’s grandparents and father in London’s Trafalgar Square in the Seventies. “My work often features lots of sentimental objects.” #wwdeye

The @dior-sponsored @guggenheim international gala pre-party has a history of drawing cool-girl musical acts to serenade the crowd –– and last night was no exception. @haimtheband performed songs both new and old, and lured a star-studded audience with the likes of Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara, Mamoudou Athie and more. #wwdeye (📷: @lexieblacklock)
In a partnership between the @metopera and the @englishnationalopera, “Marnie” was born. The opera, with costumes sponsored by @mrporterlive, is an adaptation of the 1961 thriller by Winston Graham. Arianne Phillips, who created the costumes, is no rookie: She’s styled Madonna for her tours and created costumes for a myriad of films in the past. @barneysnyc took a different approach to their holiday windows this year. Instead of Christmas decor, Barneys tapped @thehaasbrothers to tell a story of positivity, gratitude and inclusivity via heartwarming silliness and humor. “It’s about kids and it’s about coming together and being family and loving each other,” said Simon Haas. #wwdfashion (📷: @joshuascottphoto)
