BERLIN – Hugo Boss is jumping into the fast-growing designer children’s wear business, announcing intentions to sign a licensing pact with French firm C.W.F. Children Worldwide Fashion SAS.
The license covers the production and worldwide distribution of Boss Kidswear for girls and boys aged 0-16, including shoes and some accessories.
Boss said the first Boss Kidswear collection for spring/summer 2010 would be launched at Pitti Immagine Bimbo in Florence.
The German fashion house introduced a limited children’s range under Boss Orange for spring retailing. Boss spokesman Philipp Wolff said C.W.F. would touch on all Boss collections, except Hugo, for inspiration.
He declined to make first year sales projections for the new children’s wear collection.
