Keeping true to the strong men’s wear season in Berlin, Jennifer Brachmann showed a triumphant first collection. Live classical piano music accompanied her presentation of reinterpreted classical men’s pieces. Her Maestro coat was a button-less black wool-blend jacket with coattails and subtle stitching across the shoulders. The coattails became shirttails on the back of a gray cotton shirt that dipped at the back.
The former architect is a competent tailor and realizes that clever details — like oversize pockets on a navy blue funnel-neck wool jacket and folds on the front of a blue blazer — can make all the difference.
