NEW YORK — Some like it hot. Fabrics at next week’s Los Angeles International Textile Show, which runs from April 28 to 30 at the California Market Center, are both vibrantly colored and patterned. Richly printed looks continue with traditional florals that pop with color to more abstract, Pucci-like patterns. Many jacquards, meanwhile, are abstractly patterned as well with dots and stripes, among other motifs. Hue, blue, yellow, pink, purple and orange are vivid favorites, while neutrals remain a focus, many of them mixed with blue and rosy pink. Here, a sneak peek at just some of the selections.
Etro’s show, titled “The Tree of Life,” was a celebration of the house’s 50th anniversary. “My father founded the company in 1968, which was the year of counterculture and psychedelia. It’s really a show that celebrates that and the paisley design of India and its origin,” said Veronica Etro. #wwdfashion #mfw #ss18 (📷: @delphineachard)
