Brooks, a 330-unit chain based in Providence, R.I., already has one store with a counter, called the Derma Skincare Center, up and running. It will add the center to two more stores over the next two weeks, said David Morocco, executive vice president of marketing for the chain.
For the project, Brooks has partnered with French brands Vichy and Avène and Dermablend. And it has started to run newspaper ads touting the European skin care experience now available at Brooks.
Morocco said it was part of Brooks’ desire to enhance the drugstore experience. “As we know, skin care has had phenomenal growth,” said Morocco. “People are looking for solutions.”
