NEW YORK — It was a logjam Wednesday night where a diverse art, music, fashion and celebrity crowd descended on Calvin Klein’s Madison Avenue store to help the designer fete an installation from Italian artist Fabrizio Plessi.

Five large logs, roughly 10 feet long, hang from the ceiling of the store and rotate at specific intervals. Tiny screens on the ends of the logs play videos replicating fire. Single-log versions will be installed in Klein’s Dallas and Paris stores beginning Tuesday and Nov. 21, respectively, and all art will be on display through the holidays.
