NEW YORK -- Calvin Klein Inc. has added another line to its CK Calvin Klein licensing program by signing on Max Leather Group as a belt licensee.
The CK Calvin Klein belt line will be launched for the March accessories market, and will be shown both at the CK Calvin Klein bridge sportswear/CK Calvin Klein women's jeans showroom and at the Max showroom, both here.
The belts, which will be manufactured here, will be priced to retail from $35 to $75. A projection for first-year volume has not yet been determined, according to a spokeswoman for the designer's company.
This represents CK Calvin Klein's first venture into belts, the spokeswoman said. Licensed hosiery, tights and socks are produced under the label, and the spokeswoman said handbag and shoe licensing deals are planned.
Announcement of the belt license follows last week's confirmation that the firm was selling and licensing its CK jeanswear business to Rio Sportswear Inc. In January, the designer company sold its men's underwear business to The Warnaco Group, which will produce the line under license and also do the Calvin Klein women's underwear line, when the current license for that business expires at yearend.
Alberta Ferretti's "Rainbow Week" sweaters are back. The designer closed her #MFW show with a few day-of-the-week sweaters, which first debuted on the catwalk last January as part of the pre-fall 2017 collection. #wwdfashion (📷: @delphineachard)
