“Tough and tender.” At Wednesday’s presentation, that’s how Kevin Carrigan said he handled both his women’s and men’s Calvin Klein White Label collections for fall. He channeled a Nineties vibe and placed an emphasis on heather gray, with, for example, a chic double-faced jersey coat paired with jogging pants in a darker gray and a ribbed mohair sweater in a pale blush tone. A flannel bomber jacket, meanwhile, looked cool over a bra from the Perfectly Fit underwear line and a white jersey skirt, with an underwear waistband peeking out to reveal the Calvin logo.
For men, there were twill topcoats and a chambray wool blazer paired with wool and mohair pants. A varnished denim jacket, stripped of all its detailing, contrasted with baggy dress pants and sweatshirts done in graphic paneling.
