NEW YORK — Sandy Cataldo has resigned as the president of Jane Cosmetics.
Her departure is effective today, said executives at the Estée Lauder Cos., the teen brand’s parent, confirming a report in WWD Thursday.
"Sandy has made numerous contributions to Clinique, Estée Lauder and Jane Cosmetics in her 10 years with the company," said Dan Brestle, group president for the Estée Lauder Cos., to whom Cataldo had reported. "We thank her for her efforts and wish her the best in her next endeavor."
A successor for Cataldo has not been named.
Industry sources said Cataldo, who was at the helm of Jane for only a year, has been lured by an opportunity at another beauty firm. Details of her new post are expected to be announced shortly.
