NEW YORK — The fashion set came out in droves last Monday night to celebrate the release of "Bare Blass," the memoirs of the late designer Bill Blass, which were written by Blass in collaboration with The New York Times’ fashion critic Cathy Horyn.

The guests convened, appropriately enough, in the Bill Blass room at the New York Public Library and included designers Carolina Herrera, Narcisco Rodriguez and Ralph Lauren; Times scribes William Norwich and Ben Brantley; Nina Griscom (sans Pepe, naturellement); Vogue’s André Leon Talley, and host Louise Grunwald, wearing a Blass-designed orange-and-black feather boa.
