Cavalli Class presented a collection entirely inspired by British heritage, taking cues all the way from foxhunting to the London club scene. Clearly, the strongest category was the blazer, which combined an appealing mix of textures and patterns designed especially for this fall collection. It came either ultra-light — almost like a shirt — tailored from double–faced alpaca featuring a funky mix of geometrical prints, or in a more solid wool-with-angora blend boasting jacquard effects. One blazer in Prince of Wales check was laminated with a metal print resembling snakeskin, easily uniting Savile Row tailoring with Cavalli’s need for embellishment.
Alberta Ferretti's "Rainbow Week" sweaters are back. The designer closed her #MFW show with a few day-of-the-week sweaters, which first debuted on the catwalk last January as part of the pre-fall 2017 collection. #wwdfashion (📷: @delphineachard)
