NEW YORK — Greg Chait of The Elder Statesman took home the top prize at this year’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, while the runners-up were Jennifer Meyer Maguire of Jennifer Meyer and Tabitha Simmons.

The winner and runners-up were revealed at a dinner gala at Center548 in Chelsea on Tuesday evening, with Burberry chief creative officer Christopher Bailey serving as the night’s keynote speaker.
Along with mentoring, Chait is receiving $300,000 as part of the award, while the runners-up are each taking home $100,000 to develop their respective businesses.
This year’s other finalists were Suno’s Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty; A.L.C.’s Andrea Lieberman; Assembly New York’s Greg Armas; Giulietta’s Sofia Sizzi; Illesteva’s Justin Salguero, Daniel Silberman and Alina Silberman; Jennifer Fisher, and Wes Gordon.
Past winners of the award are Joseph Altuzarra, Billy Reid, Sophie Theallet, Alexander Wang, Rogan, Doo.Ri, Trovata and Proenza Schouler.
This was the ninth edition of the fund, which was created by the Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue magazine to help emerging talents with a combination of a cash prize and a mentorship program involving industry leaders.
