Zumanity, which debuted Aug. 15, oozes with dark, satirical sensuality, guiding the audience through themes of love and lust, in a sinfully shocking performance (yes, it’s R-rated!). It’s no surprise then, that bad-boy couturier Thierry Mugler created the costumes. But the artistic backdrops, music and dance aren’t too shabby either. New York-New York Hotel and Casino, 3790 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Tues.-Sat.: 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Call 866-606-7111 for tickets.
Of course, Vegas’ longest-running Cirque production, O, is still a standout. The 90-minute blend of circus and theater, performing in, on or above a 1.5 million-gallon pool of water, will take you on an aquatic adventure — though you stay dry. Bellagio Hotel and Casino, 3600 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Wed.-Sun: 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., 888-488-7111.
Finally, Mystère transports you to a fantasy world, filled with a rainbow of colors and bizarre creatures, exploding with dancers, musicians, acrobats and a misdirected clown. Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, 3300 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Sun.-Tues. and Fri.-Sat.: 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., 800-392-1999.
