NEW YORK — Ralph Lauren’s lady is refined and elegant this season, in looks that are equal parts “Philadelphia Story” and golden-age Hollywood. In the stunning spring collection he presented on Wednesday, he showed lovely charmeuse evening dresses, but also sporty ensembles, which had a faux-casual brio of the sort movie stars at play once used to display. Here, an example: a beautiful sheer, ruffled blouse worn with a sparkling brooch and side-button pants, in one of the top shades of the season, white. For more on spring, see the reviews.

"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
