NEW YORK — Cotton Incorporated said Tuesday it has signed on as a sponsor of the spring and fall 2004 editions of Olympus Fashion Week in New York and of the Mercedes-Benz Shows in Los Angeles.

“These venues give Cotton Inc. the opportunity to discuss our unparalleled fashion services, which are available to manufacturers, mills, designers and retailers at no cost,” Ira Livingston, senior vice president of consumer marketing, said in a statement. “As a company representing cotton, we believe in supporting designers.”
At the Bryant Park shows, which open Friday, Cotton Inc. will run an information booth in the main tent. Other sponsors on Olympus Fashion Week’s hefty list of backers includes Redken, Mac, W Hotels, North Fork Bank, eMap, Song Airlines, Johnson & Johnson Cos., Silhouette Sunglasses and Bluefish Concierge. Media sponsors are Vogue and the New York Times.
