NEW YORK — Oscar de la Renta Ltd. has licensed Fratella Rossetti, Parabiago, Italy, to produce and market a women’s shoe collection under the designer’s name.

Carmine Porcelli, design director of licensing for de la Renta, said the license with Fratella Rossetti is for distribution in the U.S., Europe and Asia. The fall collection will premiere in March in Fratella Rossetti’s Milan showroom, and in April at the New York runway show for de la Renta’s ready-to-wear collection. It will then be sold out of Fratella Rossetti’s showroom here.

The line will retail for $160 to $350 and will include a daytime group featuring leather and suede, and an evening segment including satin, velvet and embroidery. Porcelli said the shoes will be designed by de la Renta.

Porcelli projected a volume of about $3 million for the first year.

With this deal, de la Renta now has 58 licenses, including among them such product categories as hats, accessories and swimwear, as well as new licenses signed last week for furs and fashion jewelry.

Fratella Rossetti also premiered a de la Renta men’s shoe collection this month in Milan, along with de la Renta’s new licensed men’s wear collection.
