NEW YORK — Dee Salomon, senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications at Anne Klein, has been named senior vice president and managing director of Style.com, the online home of Vogue and W.
The post has been vacant since the resignation of Goli Sheikholeslami in March 2002.
At Style.com, Salomon will be primarily focused on building revenues and the business model and overseeing the entire site, said Sarah Chubb, president of CondéNet, the online division of Advance Publications Inc., parent of WWD. Style.com, which began in 2000, attracted 700,000 unique visitors in March, said Chubb.
Jamie Pallot, editor in chief of Style.com, as well as the site’s ad sales staff, will report to Salomon, who reports to Chubb.
Susan Cappa, who had been publisher of Style.com, left this month.
Prior to joining Anne Klein in August 2000, Salomon worked for six years at Donna Karan International, where she served as senior vice president of creative services and advertising. The move marks Salomon’s return to Advance. Before DKI, she was with Condé Nast Publications, working as fashion director on the business side for House & Garden and Condé Nast Traveler. She begins at Style.com on Monday.
Her successor at Anne Klein hasn’t been named yet.
