Ellen Tracy’s ad campaigns have reflected its customer’s growing sartorial needs as she matured from a teenager to a professional working woman.
Whether it was an outfit for a college football game, a dressy evening on the town, a weekend in the country or a boardroom meeting, Ellen Tracy’s ads have focussed on the lifestyle of the woman and where she’s going.
Like its collections, Ellen Tracy’s advertising has moved and changed with the times. Created originally by Murray Salit, Ellen Tracy’s ad campaigns have been produced by Ziccardi & Partners, now known as Ziccardi Partners, Frierson Mee Inc., a New York ad agency, for the past 12 years.
Over the decades, models such as Carol Alt, Linda Tonge, Cindy Crawford, Daniela Pestova, Niki Taylor, Christy Turlington and Cecilia Chancellor have been featured in the campaigns. In recent years, Crawford has become the face of Ellen Tracy, and her sophisticated style is portrayed in both Ellen Tracy and Company Ellen Tracy images.
With backdrops of cascading waterfalls, beautiful rock formations and trees, Ellen Tracy’s advertising has been used strategically to highlight its highly saleable, yet stylish clothing.
