Mudd Inc. has named Amber Devine to the new post of sales manager, according to president Dick Gilbert. Devine, who has been with the moderate New York junior jeans firm for four years, last served as a sales representative. In her new post, she will oversee five other sales reps and report to Gilbert, who described her as “very meticulous.”

As reported, last month Mudd rolled out the Mudd Couture line, with wholesale prices of $18.50 to $20, as opposed to $14.50 to $16.50 for the main Mudd line. The company’s goal in that move was to boost margins for jeans retailers and to introduce a bit more fashion into its offerings.
