NEW YORK — Thirty fashion designers have created a jewelry collection to promote the products, design, culture and cities of Tuscany.

An exhibition called It Jewels is tied to a new cultural initiative called Tuscan Dream in New York, organized by Regione Toscana and Toscana Promozioni. It is showing through Sunday at The Altman Building, 135 West 18th Street.

The designers include Giorgio Armani, Laura Biagiotti, Blumarine, Chiara Boni, Roberto Cavalli, Giuliana Cella, Giorgio Correggiari, Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Nicola Del Verme, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gianfranco Ferré and Alberta Ferretti.

The goldsmiths of Arezzo, Italy, played an important part in creating the show, enabling the designers to execute and assemble their jewelry pieces. Arezzo is a center for goldsmithing.

The exhibition was first shown in Milan and then Arezzo, where it was displayed in the Basilica Inferiore di San Francesco. Organizers said the show might travel to other locations, though specific plans have not been set yet.
