Details are still under wraps, but Meg Burich, global marketing director of intimate apparel at DTI, said a number of new fibers and fabrics will be unveiled under five themes targeting five consumer profiles.
“This will be right in line with the DTI consumer approach we are taking,” said Burich. “We recently completed a major consumer segmentation study. What it does is provide us with insights regarding what women think about their bodies and what drives intimate apparel purchases.”
Information about the needs and desires of the five common consumer groups will be highlighted at a fashion show, where models will wear prototype garments in new fibers and fabrics. Each consumer group will be spotlighted in individual segments.
We wanted the consumer groups to come to life so guests will experience the innovations,” said Burich, noting that different types of food will be “centered” around the groups to reflect varying tastes.
Burich said the event is exclusively by invitation and would not divulge the location.
The new products will also be shown by appointment at the DuPont booth at the Lyon, Mode City show.
