Class is in session at eBay. The Internet-auction site makes its appearance known for the first time at MAGIC, hosting “eBay University” on Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., in Room 203 at the lower lobby of the Sands Convention Center. The interactive seminar, “Turn Excess Inventory Into Cash on eBay,” includes a presentation by “eBay for Dummies” author Marsha Collier, who will explain the “how-to’s” of using the site, in addition to conducting a Q&A period for attendees.

Daniele Levy, director of clothing, footwear, and accessories for eBay Inc., said the seminar would provide “an opportunity to show apparel retailers how they can use eBay to liquidate inventory and acquire new customers.”
“We’re going to demystify the process and show people in the industry how simple it can be to use the Internet to grow sales,” she said.
