NEW YORK -- Services for Edward Wekar, 74, owner of Tall Associates Inc., a resident buying office, were held Sunday in Hewlett, N.Y.
Wekar suffered a heart attack on June 23 as he was returning to his office here at 1440 Broadway, according to Maureen Henry, the sportswear and dress buyer at the firm. Wekar, who started the business in 1970, was president of Tall Associates, a service representing specialty stores across the country that cater to tall women.
Wekar is survived by his wife, Eleanor; two sons, Steven and Michael; a sister, Ruth Epstein, and three grandchildren.
