NEW YORK — Ellen still loves Cindy.

Ellen Tracy is reinforcing its leadership position in the bridge sportswear category this fall with a reported $4 million advertising campaign again featuring Cindy Crawford.

The campaign, created once more by Ziccardi Partners Frierson Mee, an ad agency here, is comprised of eight print ads for Linda Allard Ellen Tracy and Company Ellen Tracy that feature Crawford as the personification of the Ellen Tracy woman. Photographed by Max Vadukul in black and white, the advertising shows Crawford in various scenic environments, such as beside a glacier lake.

According to sources, Ellen Tracy’s $4 million ad budget is even to a year ago.

The company reportedly generates in excess of $250 million in sales.

The campaign will appear in September and October issues of Elle, Gourmet, Harper’s Bazaar, In Style, Vogue and W. Added to the media mix for fall will be Travel & Leisure, House & Garden and Town & Country. Luxury buses traveling to the Hamptons and billboards and scaffolding facing Bryant Park will carry the Ellen Tracy images.

Ellen Tracy partnered with Vogue and The Rainforest Foundation for an event at Central Park’s Boathouse Restaurant Wednesday night. It will join forces with In Style for an event in Los Angeles on Sept. 25 titled “Le Cabaret du Reve” benefiting the Dream Foundation.
