For her second outing with a fully realized collection (she started with one-off pieces in 2009), Emily Factor showed an enticing lineup of colorful, nature-inspired printed dresses and separates in body-skimming silhouettes, ranging from bias-cut slipdresses to corsetlike jackets, all shown with Alex & Lee accessories. The youngest of Max Factor’s seven great-grandchildren (her older siblings include Smashbox founders Dean and Davis Factor), the designer used photographs she took of succulent plants, flowering cabbages and ammonite fossils as the basis for the digitally printed patterns on cotton and silk, some intercut with vintage hand-painted lace for a modern Bohemian effect.
