Escada Sport opened Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin with a sunny cocktail of a collection worked in strawberry margarita reds, Tropicana oranges, icy whites and a dash of dark indigo blue. The beachy gear moved down the runway to a playful Copacabana beat, though head designer Madelaine Schäfer’s starting point was actually Guatemala. “They have such a fearless and joyful way of mixing patterns and colors,” she said. “But I really didn’t want to set this to a specific place.
