New York — The Fragrance Foundation has announced that Evelyn H. Lauder will be honored with the Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award at the 34th annual FiFi Awards this year, scheduled to be held here April 3.
“It is both a professional and personal honor to recognize Evelyn Lauder, who is, and continues to be, a tremendous influence on the development of fragrances within the Estée Lauder Cos., as well as the entire industry,” Rochelle Bloom, president of The Fragrance Foundation, said in a statement. “Evelyn has received numerous honors acknowledging her philanthropic work, and it is appropriate to also recognize her impressive contributions to the world of fragrance.”
The Hall of Fame Award, created by The Fragrance Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in 1949, is presented to an individual who has brought extraordinary ingenuity, dedication and commitment, not only on a company’s success, but to the fragrance industry as a whole. The Fragrance Foundation’s board votes on the recipient.
“It is such an honor to be recognized along with the many other award recipients over the years,” stated Lauder, senior corporate vice president of the Estée Lauder Cos. “I have always taken great pleasure in the creation of unique fragrances from exotic and distinctive notes. My passion for this has grown with the development of each new fragrance.”
During Lauder’s tenure, the company has created original scents such as Beautiful, Knowing, Estée Lauder Pleasures, Intuition and Beyond Paradise.
