NEW YORK — Patrick Groenendaal has been appointed to the new post of vice president and creative director of Hampshire Group Ltd., the diversified women's and men's sweater company.
He had been creative director-vice president of Hampshire Brands, the company's men's division, which markets Geoffrey Beene, Dockers and Levi's sweaters, as well as the company-owned Spring + Mercer brand. Groenendaal's new responsibilities will cover all aspects of corporate and creative endeavors from color and trend direction to corporate identity and branding. He reports to Michael Culang, Hampshire Group's interim chief executive officer.
Nancy Hipple has been named vice president of design, succeeding Groenendaal. Most recently she was design director at Capital Mercury. She will oversee brand specific men's design teams and reports to Mark Lepine, president of Hampshire Brands.
Suzanne Galat has joined Hampshire Designers, the women's knit and sweater division, as senior vice president of design, a new post. She will oversee all the Hampshire Designers brands, including Spring + Mercer, Designers Originals, Hampshire Studio and Mercer Street Studio. She had been design director for David Dart at Kellwood Co. Galat reports to Hank Sinkel, president of Hampshire Designers.
