NEW YORK — Dressing from head to toe in Carolina Herrera’s style will be easier now that Faraone Mennella has created a fine jewelry collection exclusively for the brand.
This fall, the Italian jewelry company will bring Faraone Mennella for Carolina Herrera to the market. It will be sold exclusively in Herrera’s Madison Avenue boutique here.
Anne Grauso, whose husband, Mario, is president of Puig Fashion, which owns the Herrera label, is a Faraone Mennella fan and helped to bring the two brands together. The result is a collection of one-of-a-kind bold necklaces, brooches and rings made to match Herrera’s gowns and ready-to-wear.
“There’s a very sophisticated clientele at Carolina Herrera,” said Amedeo Scognamiglio, partner with Robert Faraone Mennella in Faraone Mennella. “They always match a piece of jewelry with their clothing.”
Faraone Mennella was able to produce a few coral and turquoise pieces in time to coincide with Herrera’s spring collection this year, but the line will be presented in full for fall. It will consist of 30 styles, Scognamiglio said. Customers also can place special orders to vary the colors or lengths of the pieces.
Retail prices range from $6,000 to $50,000.
This is the first time Faraone Mennella has created a collection specifically for a designer, but Scognamiglio said he looked forward to continuing to work with Herrera as well as with other fashion brands.
“I think it’s very interesting to see how fashion is integrated with jewelry,” he said.
