POP SHOT: In her latest single, “Rich Girl,” Gwen Stefani professes to wanting “all the money in the world.” If she was a rich girl, she sings, “my cash flow would never, ever end,” and goes on to wonder: “Think what that money could bring — I’d buy everything.” A new digital camera the pop star designed for Hewlett-Packard, announced Friday at the CES show in Las Vegas, should help her in her aim to “clean out Vivienne Westwood in my Galliano gown.” The Harajuku Lover by Gwen will hit stores in May with the aim of attracting young fashion lovers to the device. The camera itself is no different than other current HP models, but its exterior is turquoise and white with red hearts as well as one of the Harajuku girls that Stefani has professed to admiring in Japan. Naturally, the words “Love Angel Music Baby,” which not only grace most of Stefani’s new clothing line, but also serve as the name of her latest album, encircle the camera lens. “Gwen is very fresh. She’s a style icon,” said Allison Johnson, senior vice president of corporate marketing for Hewlett-Packard, of the collaboration.
