END OF REIGN IN SPAIN: Loewe has a new leader. LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton said Friday that Fabien Debaecker will become the new president and chief executive officer of the Madrid-based leather and fashion house, effective Jan. 2. He succeeds Ridley Cinquegrana, who had been president of Loewe since 1998. Previously, Debaecker was president and ceo of Bluebell Japan, which distributes branded fashions, accessories and perfumes.

SOUPER-MAN: Paris’s celebrity chefs are out to make a soup line chic. Alain Passard, Pierre Gagnaire and Guy Martin will be ladling out free samples at various markets in the French capital this week. It’s all part of the third annual “le fooding,” a celebration of the art of eating that spans cooking lessons and culinary contests.
