GIOMBINI OUT?: Industry sources in Milan say Fabio Giombini, general manager at Valentino, will leave the company in the next few months. Giombini apparently does not see eye to eye with Michele Norsa, general manager of Marzotto’s apparel division and Valentino’s chief executive officer. Marzotto acquired Valentino in June from Holding di Partecipazioni Industriali, and Giombini was ceo of Valentino when the house was owned by HdP. Prior to that, Giombini worked at Marzotto as a general manager of the Gianfranco Ferré and women’s apparel divisions under Norsa. When Marzotto bought Valentino, Giombini was demoted to general manager of the house, reporting to Norsa once again. Meanwhile, Marzotto management has scheduled a meeting with analysts Monday to discuss projects regarding Valentino.
