DELL’ACQUA ON THE BLOCK?: Industry sources in Milan said Friday that Alessandro Dell’Acqua is in talks to sell his company to Arpels, which last month took control of Borbonese. Besides designing his eponymous line and La Perla ready-to-wear, Dell’Acqua is Borbonese’s creative director. The designer owns his namesake business with his partner, Gianandrea Cataneo. Dell’Acqua and Arpels did not comment on the speculation.

TOMMY’S MOVE: While designers and publicists are still wrangling over time slots for the Feb. 7-14 edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Tommy Hilfiger has apparently decided to move his show from the opening number — his regular spot of recent seasons — to a midweek slot. A Hilfiger spokeswoman did not return calls by press time, but sources said the designer is expected to show on Feb. 12, a Wednesday, with more women’s looks than men’s, and he might use the occasion to showcase his designer-line-in-development, called “H.”
